Hello All!
Sorry I've been a little useless with this whole blogging thing! What an amazing few months it's been though. Lots of lovely weddings and autumnal shoots, a new little human in my family, and also an email to say I had been shortlisted for a British Photography Award! So it's all just been so exciting!
Last month I got to photograph Robin and Taís's Wedding though which was so much fun. I met them both at a wedding fair at The Oxfordshire earlier this year, Robin is the brother of Sarah who's wedding I'm photographing next year! They were both so lovely and booked me the day after the fair! I met them both for a pre-wedding shoot at Christmas common one morning, it was the first day that it felt autumnal, it wasn't cold but was just beautifully crisp and the colours amazing! We messed about, laughed and took some photos. Both of them are so comfortable infront of the camera and also together it made my job very easy.
Then came the day of the wedding, I met Taís at her house where she was having her make up and hair done by Frankie rose who is lovely. Taís is Brazilian and her mum, sister and best friend had come over. The morning was great fun, very chilled and just a pleasure to be there. Taís kept saying to me.. 'Meg is it meant to be this chilled, am I meant to be nervous yet?'
We then went to Notley Tythe Barn were the ceremony was taking place, Taís absolutely rocked it as she strutted down the aisle all alone but which such power and elegance all at the same time. Robin's face was a picture. The ceremony was great, even though Taís is Brazilian, her English is phenomenal. They walked out the ceremony to bubbles being blown at them, out too what I think has been the windiest day of the year! We didn't let the wind stop us though, infact it actually helped us create some really cool images.
Dinner was beautiful, I had the same food as them which is always amazing, I never expect it! Then the speeches went ahead, where Taís again broke normal traditions and did a speak of her own, along with Robin and Robin's best man!
They also then had sparkler's which were a lovely touch! Followed by lots of amazing brazilian dancing, oh what id do to dance like them!
Overall a wonderful day with a wonderful couple tying the knot.
