Lucy and Adam's Amazing Day!

Hello Everyone!

Can you believe it's September already! This year has just flown, it's been so fun though!

August was an incredible month for me, I had lots of weddings, family shoots, baby shoots and I also did quite a lot of second shooting for other photographers which is always fun!

One of my highlights has to be Lucy and Adam's Wedding though, it was just a dream. As the Wedding was in Essex, quite a journey from where I live, I went up and stayed with Lucy and her bridesmaids the night before the wedding. This is quite a special time for the bride but she made me feel so welcome and we just all sat on the sofa drinking tea and eating biscuits, a perfect evening I would say.

The next day it was so lovely to be at the Lodge with them all, you saw the excitement from the minute they all woke up. I didn't need an alarm you could just hear one of the bridesmaids running round singing wedding themed songs! We then all went down to the venue ( a 5 min drive ) where they all started the process of getting ready. Lucy did her own makeup which was just flawless, she's so good at it! The minute Lucy put her dress on I was just blown away, she looked so incredible and I knew my day was going to be perfect.

We did some Images by the pool outside the dressing room and then the ceremony was to begin! Outside which is always a bonus! Roxy Searle played her incredible music whilst Lucy and her father walked down the aisle, heavenly. The ceremony was great!

After the ceremony the usual drinks reception was under way, the sun was shining and I got to capture lots of natural laughs and smiles. I then went with Luke Tyrell ( the greatest videographer ) to take some images of Lucy and Adam alone, this is when I realised WOW this wedding really should be in a magazine, any angle they both just looked great!

They were then all called in to eat, me and Luke got to eat too and the food was just insane, it was like the poshest afternoon tea/picky bits. Exactly what we both fancied!

The speeches were the next thing to come, Lucy's dad starting, followed by the maid of honour, then Adam and then his best man who had come all the way from Australia. They were all great!

The dancing then all kicked off and it was time for me to leave and have the long rainy journey back to Aylesbury ( THE ONLY RUBBISH PART! ).

High House in Essex is a wonderful venue and I would recommend it to anyone.

It honestly was such an incredible wedding, both Lucy and Adam are just so lovely and I wish them all the happiness for their future together!

This is what Lucy and Adam sent me after I had sent them a few previews.. It's always so lovely to receive such nice words.

''Megan joined us the night before I got married at a local lodge with myself and my bridesmaids, where we all prepared for the following day. Her relaxed presence was current through-out the evening and the following day. Although I have known Megan for a long time, I was surprised at how calm and organised she helped me stay the morning of my wedding day. From helping me pack to go to the venue, to applying finishing touches before I walked down the isle. It would be fair to say that Megan's personality truly matches the photos she takes, relaxed, honest and absolutely fantastic. I would recommend Megan to anyone who wants their day to be made memorable through their photographs. She is highly skilled and great to work with. I felt confident and completely comfortable throughout the whole day and I could not be happier with the photos so far. Adam and I would like to thank her for making our day so special with photos we will treasure for the rest of our lives.''

Here is a selection of Images that I think tell the story of the day well.. :)
